Weiss Advocacy Center Fundraiser            May 1, 2010        10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Peace Presbyterian Church and the Clayton Township Police Department will be hosting a fundraiser benefit for the Weiss Child Advocacy Center at the church on Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.  The purpose of this event is to raise awareness about the Weiss Advocacy Center and what it does, as well as to raise money for the center, which is not supported by tax dollars.

Children are vulnerable.  Children are at risk.  Children deserve to be protected.  Children need hope.  The Weiss Advocacy Center is available to any child in Genesee County who requires their services.  The center also offers programs aimed at reducing abuse and support groups for the abused and their families.  Representatives from the Weiss Advocacy Center will be present during the fundraiser to give a full explanation of what they do and what programs are available through them.

There will be a bounce house, professional clown making balloon animals for the children, a health care display by Hurley Hospital and a silent auction.  The Clayton Township Police Department will have police cars and equipment on site for children of all ages to see and they will have a dunk tank to raise money.  The Hollywood Diner will be selling hotdogs, with all proceeds being given to the Weiss Advocacy Center.

If you are unable to come and support this fundraiser event, you may send a check to the church for the center.  All checks should be made out to the Weiss Advocacy Center.

Please come and support this very important Genesee County resource.
